Johnny Con
The Con within a Con
Johnny Con is an annual gathering of fans of the rules and games of the late John Hill, with the focus on his famous set of ACW rules “Johnny Reb”. We have recently been getting together every year as part of Nashcon and if you are interested in playing or learning these fantastic rules there is no better place to do it!
Most of these game masters were original play-testers, developers and designers of “Johnny Reb” and this is a great chance to come out and play with some of the guys that were in John Hill’s gaming group and helped develop “Johnny Reb” into what it has become over the years. This is a group of friendly gamers that enjoy teaching the rules to others, so no worries if you’ve never played before....you will be welcomed!
HMGS Mid-South Presents
The Premier Gaming Convention in Nashville TN
A Nashville tradition for 34 years. Nashcon is 33,000 square feet of historical, sci-fi, and fantasy miniature games and vendors.
Besides the amazing games, there are several ACW battlefields within easy driving distance, like: Franklin, Thompson’s Station, Spring Hill, Nashville and Stones River. Nashville is home to the best music, great restaurants, shopping, movies, and can provide plenty of entertainment and fun for the entire family if you’d like to turn Nashcon into a family adventure!
HMGS-MidSouth is a non-profit organization incorporated in the state of Tennessee serving members primarily South of the Mason-Dixon Line and East of the Mississippi River. We encourage the study of military history and conflict simulation, and believe a lot can be learned by adding fun into the learning of history. HMGS Mid-South is an accredited region of the Historical Miniatures Gaming Society, one of ten such regions currently recognized by the National Board of Directors.
